SI Winnipeg members are actively involved in the community. As our provision of service projects, we make and distribute “comfort pillows” to women who have undergone mastectomies, and participate in a Soroptimist Domestic Violence program, distributing informational cards concerning domestic violence throughout the workplace and in areas regularly frequented by women.
We provide financial support to local organizations such as Christmas Cheer, Women’s Shelters, Women’s Health Clinic and educational brochures (Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome). Funds are raised through ‘Show & Save’ Book of Savings sales, Mom’s Pantry Products sales; proceeds from various home parties, book forums, raffle ticket sales and Christmas sale and auction.
